[Hiring] Registered Nurse (RN) Breast and GYN Oncology Phone Triage @Inova

Role Description

Inova Schar Cancer Institute is looking for a dedicated Phone Triage Registered Nurse to join the Breast and GYN Oncology Clinic. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday – Friday and fully remote. Our nurses work five 8-hour shifts and our clinic is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. No weekends, no holidays, no call.

The Registered Nurse provides knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients, families, nurses and healthcare delivery teams. Responsibilities include:

• Consistently providing safe and therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way.
• Incorporating differences into the provision of care and conducting all patient care in a patient/family centered manner.
• Integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, including patient and family education.
• Communicating effectively and working cooperatively with others while respecting and understanding other clinical disciplines.
• Determining processes for delivery of care from direct patient/family communication, technology and collaboration with other healthcare team members.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.
• Education: BSN or ADN - If ADN then complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association required.
• RN licensed, and eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
• Proficient computer skills required.

Requirements

• Previous oncology and chemotherapy infusion experience strongly preferred.
