Role Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our statewide Orthopedics, Sports Medicine & Podiatry Triage Pod, providing exceptional telephone triage and clinical support to patients calling with symptoms and concerns related to our Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, and Podiatry practices across the state.

• The Call Center Triage RN supports both new and established patients across the state.
• Utilizes clinical judgment, evidence-based triage protocols, and specialty knowledge to:
  • Assess patient concerns
  • Identify appropriate levels of care
  • Provide patient education
  • Facilitate timely connection to the appropriate care team or service

Training will be completed remotely and may include insight training within Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, and Podiatry clinics to support understanding of specialty-specific workflows, resources, and patient populations.

Multiple positions and shifts are available, including:

• 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
• 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
• 9:00 am – 5:30 pm

Monday – Friday | Full-time

No weekends! No holidays!

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience is preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Previous telephone triage experience is a plus.
• Orthopedic, sports medicine, podiatry, or other specialty nursing experience is highly valued.

Requirements

• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
• Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies.
• Requires ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner.
• Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
• Requires ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
