Role Description
The Referral Navigator is responsible for processing referrals from Primary Care Providers (both internal and external/network) for the purposes of obtaining specialist care by our internal/network specialty Providers.

Building, submitting, processing, and scheduling referrals from primary care providers.

Confirming all necessary documents and information have been provided.

Sending back for additional information when necessary.

Cancelling referrals that do not meet criteria or lack necessary information within a specified time frame.

Forwarding questionable referrals to MD review.

Accepting referrals and determining if they meet outsource or overflow criteria.

Handling paperwork, faxing, scanning, and making multiple telephone calls.

Direct face-to-face contact with multiple patients.
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S.
Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED (or higher).

CPR certified or able to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.

2+ years of experience working in a health-related field.

2+ years of experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and/or Practice Management Software systems.
Requirements

1+ years of experience and/or training as a Medical Assistant (preferred).

Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred).

Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
