Role Description

Qualified Behavioral Health Providers are trained professionals who work under the supervision of a licensed therapist or psychologist to help individuals, families, and couples address and overcome various mental health challenges. They provide a range of therapeutic services within their associated geographical region, field, and scope of practice such as counseling, psychotherapy, and behavior modification techniques. As a Qualified Behavioral Health Provider, your primary responsibility is to assess, diagnose, and treat clients/patients based on their individual needs. This involves:

• Conducting thorough assessments to understand presenting concerns.
• Gathering relevant background information.
• Rendering a diagnosis.
• Formulating a treatment plan.

Qualified Behavioral Health Providers utilize evidence-based interventions and techniques to help clients develop coping strategies, improve their relationships, and enhance their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the fields of counseling, social work, and/or marital/family therapy.

Requirements

• Provide individual, group, family, and/or other practical therapist services in various settings under supervision.
• Complete intake/screening and/or comprehensive assessment process within appropriate time frames.
• Determine and document diagnosis based on comprehensive assessment.
• Develop treatment plans for clients/patients in accordance with state regulatory/accreditation/agency standards.
• Participate in clinical staffing/treatment meetings, providing feedback on all pertinent cases.
• Meet department-specific Collaborative Service Goal (CSG) requirements.
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure authorized services are approved.
• Document all services provided in accordance with state regulatory/accreditation/agency standards.
• Ensure timely entry of services and correct any file/charting deficiencies.
• Assist clients/patients through the transition process and complete final correspondence.
• Complete all mandatory training, meeting state regulatory/accreditation/agency standards.
• Represent the agency within the community in a professional manner.
• Maintain positive, professional relationships with referral sources, clients/patients, and coworkers.
• Handle crisis situations as they arise and participate in emergency services.
• Assist with providing professional/clinical supervision to individuals in training.
• Facilitate group counseling, group education, family therapy, and individual sessions.
• Provide training and guidance on clinical issues and evidence-based practices.
• Provide clinical consultation to treatment team members when necessary.
• Demonstrate interest in long-term and short-term goals and objectives of the company.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
