[Hiring] Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner @The University of Utah

Role Description

This position provides outpatient psychiatric care and mental health treatment to patients seen in a Huntsman Mental Health Institute Outpatient Clinic. This position may be required to:

• Diagnose
• Create treatment plans
• Prescribe psychiatric medications
• Establish medication management treatment plans
• Provide psychotherapy
• Potentially administer medications for patients in an outpatient setting, either in clinic or remotely, within their scope of practice and according to state law

Qualifications

• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system (to be obtained within 30 days of hire)
• Valid registered license in the state where they intend to practice as an advanced practice psychiatric mental health nurse
• Successfully completed ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• 2 years of ambulatory mental health experience (preferred)
