[Hiring] Provider Education Support Specialist @Ventra Health

Role Description

The Provider Education Specialist position reviews provider documentation on an ongoing basis and provides feedback for practitioners on areas to improve.

• Reviews documentation by chart daily for Coding Production as assigned by Director of Physician Education
• Provides weekly and monthly feedback to Documentation Specialist on documentation trends
• Performs ongoing analysis of medical record documentation
• Supports Senior Provider Education Specialists for focused areas of documentation needs
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent required
• At least four (4) years of coding experience and two (2) years of auditing experience
• Degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, or related field or equivalent experience/training preferred

• Knowledge of requirements of medical record documentation
