Role Description

• Serve as clinical scribe for psychiatric providers: document visits in real time in the EHR and pend orders, refills, and referrals for provider review and signature.
• Prepare charts in advance of visits, including history, prior notes, labs, and screening/rating-scale results.
• Obtain medication histories and complete medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Administer medications, including long-acting injectables, per provider orders and within RN scope; monitor and document patient response.
• Provide medication education and support refill and prior-authorization workflows.
• Complete vitals, standardized screenings, and suicide risk screening; escalate clinical concerns to the provider.
• Maintain accurate, timely, HIPAA-compliant documentation and audit-ready records.
• Take on additional PRN clinic nursing duties as new services launch; perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Nurse license in the State of Texas (or compact state with multistate privilege) required.
• Minimum two (2) years of Nursing experience required.
• Behavioral health, mental health, or substance use disorder experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification required; de-escalation certification within 90 days of hire.
• Strong EHR and clinical documentation skills; scribing experience helpful but not required.
• Competency and comfort administering injections, including long-acting injectables.
• Flexibility and reliability for as-needed scheduling across PsychPointe outpatient locations.
