The Opportunity

• Leading the development and execution of reimbursement strategies to secure and maintain optimal coverage for innovative therapies across major private insurers.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for high-level decision-makers within insurance companies and pharmacy benefit managers.
• Co-creating healthcare solutions and system improvement partnerships that address gaps in the patient journey.
• Providing deep expertise on private market access dynamics to ensure our portfolio remains competitive and accessible within the private sector.
• Collaborating with internal national and regional teams to ensure external insights are integrated into our long-term business goals.
• Shaping the future market by identifying and addressing logistical or systemic challenges well before a new treatment launches.
• Leveraging your internal network to pull in technical expertise and resources that support complex negotiation and policy goals.
• Co-create private healthcare system solutions and system improvement partnerships that can be used to create advocacy and/or partnership opportunities with private payers.

Qualifications

• You hold an undergraduate degree and at least seven years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry working closely with private insurance companies or from the private insurance sector.
• You demonstrate expert-level skills in stakeholder management, advocacy, and direct engagement with insurance or policy leaders.
• You possess a strategic mindset with a proven track record of establishing mutually beneficial partnerships in a complex environment.
• You are knowledgeable about the drug development and commercialization process specifically within the Canadian landscape.
• You demonstrate a deep understanding of industry regulations and the standards governing pharmaceutical advertising and interactions.
• You are proficient at leveraging digital tools and technology to manage professional networks and enhance stakeholder engagement.
• In this position, you will be servicing customers across Canada; therefore, a proficient level of English is required and French may be required depending on geographical location.
• You demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills used to influence high-level bureaucratic and corporate leaders.

Benefits

• The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Mississauga is 136,936.00 and 179,728.50 of hiring range. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors as determined by the company.
