[Hiring] Prior Authorization Specialist @Infinx

Role Description

This remote Prior Authorization Specialist supports the Patient Access Onshore department in various functions, insurance verification, and coordinating prior authorization requests for medical services. This position is critical in facilitating timely patient access to healthcare by managing prior authorization processes. This role involves:

• Contacting payors for eligibility and benefit information to include authorization requirements
• Obtaining prior authorizations and pre-certifications
• Submitting complete and accurate authorization requests
• Following up and resolving pending authorization requests
• Maintaining documentation of authorization activity
• Staying current on payer prior authorization requirements

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in healthcare administration or prior authorization processes for medications
• Experience reviewing and processing prior authorization requests for medical procedures and services
• Ability to collaborate with healthcare providers and payers to resolve prior authorization issues and appeals
• Medical Assistant Certification or 5 years experience in a provider's office setting processing prior authorizations is preferred but not required
