Role Description
In collaboration with supervising physicians, the PA directly manages the care of complex acutely ill patients with or without chronic diseases via face-to-face, telehealth, or other communication devices. An expert in patient care who can:

Provide quality care

Perform patient assessments, physical examinations, and medical history

Order and interpret a variety of laboratory and diagnostic tests

Diagnose, develop appropriate treatment plans, prescribe medical regimen, and educate patients/family regarding diagnosis and plan of care

Work collaboratively with physicians, staff, and administration to ensure quality of care across the health system

Be a team leader during code rescue/blue
-
Integrate evidence-based practice and technological advances into their scope of practice

Participate in research initiatives, data collection, quality improvement, discharge planning, and coordination of patient care within the area of practice

Facilitate patient throughput, optimal patient outcomes, optimal length of stay, and improved patient satisfaction
Estimated salary range for this position is $118,907.47 - $154,579.71 / year depending on experience.
Qualifications

Degrees: Masters
-
Licenses & Certifications:

Drug Enforcement Administration

NCCPA Certified Physician Assistant

Basic Life Support

Physician Assistant

Additional Qualifications:

Compliant with state of Florida requirements for CMEs and licensure

BLS required
-
Advanced Cardiac Life Support required as per specialty/function

DEA License required as per specialty/function

Obtain medical staff credentialing and privileges as needed for practice location
