[Hiring] Physician Assistant 1-Acute @Baptist Health South Florida

Role Description

In collaboration with supervising physicians, the PA directly manages the care of complex acutely ill patients with or without chronic diseases via face-to-face, telehealth, or other communication devices. An expert in patient care who can:

• Provide quality care
• Perform patient assessments, physical examinations, and medical history
• Order and interpret a variety of laboratory and diagnostic tests
• Diagnose, develop appropriate treatment plans, prescribe medical regimen, and educate patients/family regarding diagnosis and plan of care
• Work collaboratively with physicians, staff, and administration to ensure quality of care across the health system
• Be a team leader during code rescue/blue
• Integrate evidence-based practice and technological advances into their scope of practice
• Participate in research initiatives, data collection, quality improvement, discharge planning, and coordination of patient care within the area of practice
• Facilitate patient throughput, optimal patient outcomes, optimal length of stay, and improved patient satisfaction

Estimated salary range for this position is $118,907.47 - $154,579.71 / year depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Degrees: Masters
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Drug Enforcement Administration
  • NCCPA Certified Physician Assistant
  • Basic Life Support
  • Physician Assistant
• Additional Qualifications:
  • Compliant with state of Florida requirements for CMEs and licensure
  • BLS required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support required as per specialty/function
  • DEA License required as per specialty/function
  • Obtain medical staff credentialing and privileges as needed for practice location
• Minimum Required Experience: No Experience Required
