[Hiring] Physical Health Specialist @Sword Health

Role Description

We are hiring a Physical Health Specialist, based in Portugal, motivated by helping people build healthier, more consistent daily habits. This role sits at the heart of the Pulse Global member experience — you will be the human in a three-way conversation alongside our AI lifestyle support assistant, Phoenix, and the members you support.

Pulse Global is a daily lifestyle support service for adults, built around four pillars:

• Movement and activity (including resistance training)
• Nutrition
• Sleep
• Stress management

This is not a clinical or diagnostic role. You will work as a Physical Health Specialist — providing accountability, encouragement, and lifestyle guidance to help members build routines they can stick to, entirely through an app-based chat experience.

This is a fully remote role based in Portugal, supporting primarily English-speaking members, with occasional support to Portuguese-speaking members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree ("Licenciatura") in Physical Therapy (240 ECTS / 4-year programme)
• Active registration and cédula profissional with "Ordem dos Fisioterapeutas" (OF)
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in musculoskeletal disorders
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) — non-negotiable; majority of member interactions are in English
• Proficiency in Portuguese, for occasional support of Portuguese-speaking members
• Strong written communication skills — warmth, clarity, and motivation through a digital chat interface
• Demonstrable experience in behavioural coaching, including lifestyle habit formulation, motivational interviewing, and long-term wellness support
• Comfortable working within a defined wellness scope and redirecting clinical questions appropriately

Requirements

• A plus if you have experience in lifestyle or wellness coaching (e.g. weight management, behaviour change)
• Familiarity with digital health or AI-assisted tools
