Role Description
Allivet seeks a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Verification Technician to join our growing pharmacy verification team. In this 100% remote role youβll be responsible to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the pet prescription orders, collaborating with pharmacists and customer service and vets to provide exceptional care to our customers and their pets. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, possesses strong computer skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prescription Verification:

Verify prescription information, including patient details, medication, dosage, refills, and veterinarian authorization.

Identify and resolve discrepancies in prescriptions, contacting veterinarians and customers to clarify any questions or concerns.

Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding the dispensing of medications.

Maintain accurate records of all verified prescriptions.

Collaboration & Communication:

Collaborate effectively with pharmacists to clarify prescription details and ensure optimal patient care.

Communicate with customer service representatives to address customer inquiries and resolve order-related issues.

Provide timely and accurate information to customers regarding their prescriptions.

Quality Assurance:

Adhere to strict quality standards and security measures to ensure medication safety and prevent errors.

Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote efficiency and accuracy.

Teamwork & Support:

Assist in training new pharmacy technicians on verification procedures and best practices.

Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, fostering collaboration and open communication.
Qualifications
-
2+ years of pharmacy technician experience, with a focus on prescription verification (preferred).

Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) license in the state of practice.

Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
