Role Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Pharmacy Technician to excel in a complex, team-oriented environment while having the opportunity to develop and strengthen technical skills and pharmacology knowledge while working from home.

The Non-Clinical Divert technician is responsible for screening orders, specializing in research, review, and entry of prescription overrides.

Basic knowledge and understanding of a pharmacy workflow.

Efficient use of a computer and keyboard.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think globally.

Essential role in ensuring patients receive their correct prescriptions in a timely manner.

Directing questionable prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification.

Technicians may be asked to perform other pharmacy functions as required.

Expected to meet specified production and quality standards as defined by the management team.

Colleagues must reside in the state of Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, or Texas.

Hours are 9-5:30 PM local time, Monday to Friday with rotating Saturdays 7-3:30 PM local time (subject to change).

Overtime/extended work weeks may be required when needed.

The position is work from home with training to be completed virtually.
Qualifications

Active Pharmacy Technician license in compliance with applicable state law where applicant resides.

Minimum of 1 year related pharmacy technician experience.

Adept at reading and interpreting prescription terminology and medications.

Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
-
A secure and private room free from noise and distractions, with a closing door and ergonomic-friendly work area.

Must have your own internet provider that can support the virtual working environment.

Data Entry experience.

Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).

Strong attention to detail while multitasking through various programs.

Proof of Direct/hardwired internet connection to a modem/router within 10 feet of your computer and a minimum speed of 25 mbps download and 3 mbps upload. WIFI and satellite are not permitted.
Requirements

Candidate must reside in the state of Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, or Texas.

Texas requires an active state technician license.

Florida requires an active state technician license.

Pennsylvania requires an active state technician license.

Illinois requires an active state technician license AND national certification (must be marked certified on state Illinois license).
Preferred Qualifications

Previous mail order or retail pharmacy experience.

Rapid keyboarding skills while maintaining 100% accuracy.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standard operating procedures.

Able to understand and interpret Latin symbols commonly used on prescriptions medications and able to write routing correspondence.

Recognizing, identifying, and having general knowledge of commonly used generic drugs.
-
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to work using multiple computer screens/monitors for extended periods of time.
-
Proficient in/able to troubleshoot computer issues.
Education

Verifiable High school diploma or GED required.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is: $17.00 - $31.30. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
