Role Description

• Accurately billing claims
• Ensuring timely filing deadlines are met for various payers
• Adequately billing claims per compliance and payer guidelines
• Collaborate with various areas of revenue cycle and the organization to ensure accurate and timely billing of claims
• Stay current on compliance and payer policies and share information with other caregivers within the organization

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma - Required
• Associate's Degree - Preferred
• 1 Year - non-clinical healthcare experience, preferably in revenue cycle - Preferred
• Basic Microsoft application skills required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Dependable in both production and attendance
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Medical Terminology knowledge

Requirements

• Works daily electronic billing file and submits insurance claims timely according to payer guidelines
• Collaborates within team and with external departments to resolve claim errors
• Acquires and maintains a general understanding of regulations affecting billing practices and reports any suspected compliance issues
• Conducts duties in a professional and timely manner
• Performs all other duties as assigned by departmental leaders
• Ability to work independently and multi-task as needed
• Interacts virtually with team to stay connected and informed
• Communicate effectively in a professional manner to everyone with whom you may interact
• Ability to analyze and interpret data, explain issues thoroughly, be adaptable in daily responsibilities
• Ability to operate equipment on continuous/repetitious basis such as computer, telephone, fax, etc.
• Job requires sitting mostly, walking and standing occasionally
• Limited exposure to hazards
