Role Description

You will direct medical treatment to members served within the scope of your Psychiatrist licensure. You will participate in the leadership of the program by:

• Communicating with Program staff and members served.
• Ensuring superior quality medical practices that meet and exceed licensure requirements, payer standards, and client and community needs.

Position: Psychiatrist - Per-Diem Short Hour, Mon-Sun Remote

Coverage for a few hours per week as needed.

Compensation:

• Independent Contractor wage range: $183 - $229 / Hour.
• Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed.
• Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
• Independent Contractors are not eligible for company benefits and must provide their own malpractice insurance.

Qualifications

• A medical degree from a medical school accredited by the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association.
• Successful completion of residency training program in psychiatry.
• Active DEA in good standing.

Alameda County Youth CSU is a Crisis Stabilization Unit serving youth populations within Alameda County. These programs provide:

• Screening/triage.
• Medication support.
• Brief treatment in a safe, protective setting.

These programs are sometimes co-located with acute inpatient programs, allowing for a 'warm hand-off' transfer when needed. The typical length of stay is up to 24 hours.
