Role Description
As our Patient Services Professional, you will be the welcoming voice and central administrative support, ensuring seamless patient experiences and efficient clinic operations through diverse engagements.

Manage phone customer service and distribute communications.

Handle patient information like demographics, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling.

Process referrals, authorizations, pre-registrations, and other clerical tasks.

Communicate results, enter medication requests, and document in the Electronic Health Records.

Answer, screen, and process a high volume of incoming calls professionally.

Schedule and cancel patient appointments for multiple providers.

Utilize and adhere to a phone script, clinical decision trees, and scheduling criteria.

Update patients on the status of their referrals or authorizations.

Communicate complex exam preparation instructions to patients and physicians' offices.

Send out accurate and complete communication to healthcare providers.
Qualifications
-
High School Graduate General Studies and experience with computer systems, including web-based applications, upon hire.

High School GED General Studies and experience with computer systems, including web-based applications, upon hire.

1-3 years minimum of two (2) years experience in a patient-focused healthcare environment or high volume multichannel contact center, upon hire.

Satisfactory completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or military training equivalent to an accredited Medical Assistant program, upon hire.

Certified Medical Assistant AAMA, upon hire.

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, upon hire.

Certified Medical Assistant AMCA, upon hire.

Certified Medical Assistant NHA, upon hire.

National Certified Medical Assistant NCCT, upon hire.

Registered Medical Assistant, upon hire.

National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant NAHP, upon hire.

Registered Medical Assistant AMT, upon hire.

Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
Requirements

Must live in or around Erlanger/Lexington Kentucky.
