[Hiring] Patient Services Coordinator- Pre-Authorization for Commercial @Sentara Health

Role Description

Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring a Patient Services Coordinator- Pre-Authorization for Commercial - Remote in Virginia!

• Status: Full-time, permanent position (40 hours)
• Work hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F with Saturday and Sunday shifts, every 15 weeks with weekend differential
• Location: This is a remote position in VA.

This role supports prior authorization for commercial plans and works closely with provider offices. You will:

• Receive requests (via fax or online) and route them to nurses for review
• Help track status
• Take inbound calls from clinics and hospitals to confirm receipt of requests and provide updates

This is a phone-based role.

Qualifications

• HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (REQUIRED)

Requirements

• Experience working in Healthcare (REQUIRED)
• Health plan experience (highly preferred)
• Experience handling calls in a call center or similar phone-based role (preferred)
