[Hiring] Patient Services Coordinator @Sentara Health

Role Description

Sentara Health is looking to hire a Patient Service Coordinator. Hours of operations are M-F 8:00am to 5:00pm. Must be flexible to work every other weekend.

• Responsible for intake of authorization requests via fax, phone, email, and provider portal.
• Building authorization shells in JIVA, routing authorizations for nurse review.
• Coordinates activities for specific practices, including insurance verification/obtaining pre-certification.
• Responsible for answering provider calls and assisting with questions related to the authorization process.
• Outreach to providers to request clinical information needed for medical necessity review.
• Assist in scheduling peer-to-peer calls, as requested.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required)
• Previous Healthcare experience (required)
