Role Description
As a Patient Collections Representative, you play a crucial role in our healthcare organization by ensuring the timely and accurate collection of patient balances. Your primary responsibilities include:

Engaging with patients to address billing inquiries.

Verifying contractual payments.

Implementing payment plans.

Contributing to the financial health of our organization through expertise in medical billing and collections.
Responsibilities include:

Leading detailed cross-program menu management for OneR pilot sites, including analysis of menu gaps and strategizing around menu development.

Serving as an expert on assigned sites, including understanding physician leadersβ scientific interests and operational capabilities.

Working closely with physician leaders and research staff to manage or support the site-level leads review process.

Leading the scientific leads review process at the network level, including interpreting study information and presenting studies to network leaders.

Attending sponsor calls to learn about new products and upcoming studies.

Leading responses to inquiries around research menu offerings and study availability.

Planning and facilitating meetings to discuss sitesβ research menus.
-
Answering external stakeholder questions around OneR processes and engaging sponsors for new study opportunities.

Collaborating with healthcare providers, study coordinators, and principal investigators.
-
Connecting with patients to address outstanding balances and resolve billing inquiries promptly.

Maintaining the accuracy of the patient database by entering and editing data related to registration, insurance, charges, payments, and billing.

Collaborating with the Pre-Certification department to process Notice of Procedures.

Taking on additional office duties as assigned by the manager.

Driving the mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.
Qualifications

Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Medical Billing and insurance claim filing.

Collections experience is preferred.
-
Familiarity with medical billing software is a definite plus.
Requirements

Current knowledge of acceptable clinical practice, quality assurance, and patient management.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective healthcare team member.

Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology, ICD, and CPT Codes.

Attendance is an essential job function.
