[Hiring] Patient Account Specialist @CommonSpirit Health

Role Description

As our Patient Account Specialist, you will:

• Process account payments
• Update insurance and demographic information
• Research payments
• Rebill insurance
• Work with other departments to resolve issues, including adjustments and insurance follow-up

Every day you will meticulously manage patient accounts, ensuring accurate billing and payment processing, and collaborate with various internal departments to achieve timely and effective resolution of all account-related concerns.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Strong organizational skills
• Meticulous attention to detail in account processing
• The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other departments to resolve complex patient account issues

• Answer all incoming calls to the billing office from patients to resolve account issues
• Utilize excellent communication skills to explain bills and recoup payments from patients
• Research outstanding accounts and partner with peers to ensure accuracy of bills and timely resolution of issues

This position has the ability to work remote 100% for Colorado residents; however, you will have to go on-site (Mineral campus in Centennial, CO) for in-person meetings and/or if experiencing Internet or computer issues.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• One (1) year healthcare experience

Requirements

• Billing experience (preferred)
• Comprehensive understanding of insurance billing and follow-up practices (preferred)
