[Hiring] Part Time Behavioral Health Assessment Clinician @Clarity Pediatrics

5d ago - Clarity Pediatrics is hiring a remote Part Time Behavioral Health Assessment Clinician. 💸 Salary: usd 62 - 96 per hour 📍Location: USA

Role Description

Clarity Pediatrics is seeking a licensed Behavioral Health Assessment Clinician to join our remote, multidisciplinary team. In this specialized role, you will exclusively provide behavioral health assessments and intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and their families, with a primary focus on ADHD and anxiety. You’ll gather and synthesize clinical information, evaluate diagnostic criteria and functional impairment, identify safety concerns and relevant differential diagnoses, and help families understand the most appropriate next steps in care.

This role is designed for clinicians who enjoy the assessment and diagnostic process, can quickly develop rapport with children and caregivers, and are skilled at distilling complex clinical information into clear, actionable recommendations. This position does not include an ongoing individual therapy caseload or routine group facilitation. Instead, you’ll develop deep expertise in assessment and serve as an important entry point into Clarity’s multidisciplinary care model.

What You’ll Own

  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and their caregivers, primarily related to ADHD and anxiety.
  • Gather relevant developmental, behavioral, psychiatric, medical, family, school, and psychosocial history to inform clinical formulation.
  • Assess symptom severity, functional impairment, diagnostic criteria, and relevant differential diagnoses.
  • Integrate clinical interview data, standardized measures, collateral information, and available records into a clear clinical formulation.
  • Identify and appropriately assess safety concerns, including completing additional risk assessment and safety planning when indicated.
  • Provide families with clear, evidence-based treatment recommendations and next steps, including Clarity services and referrals to outside providers or higher levels of care when appropriate.
  • Communicate clinical findings and recommendations in a way that is accessible, compassionate, and actionable for families.
  • Complete timely, accurate, and high-quality clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with Clarity’s behavioral health, medical, and care coordination teams to support appropriate care transitions.
  • Apply Clarity’s assessment protocols consistently while using sound clinical judgment when presentations are complex or fall outside standard pathways.
  • Participate in consultation, training, calibration, and ongoing quality improvement to strengthen the consistency and quality of Clarity’s assessment model.

Qualifications

  • You’re a licensed mental health professional with either:
    • A master’s degree in a relevant behavioral health field and active licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC; or
    • A doctoral degree in psychology (PhD or PsyD) with active licensure as a psychologist.
  • You’re currently licensed in California and open to getting licensed in other states (we’ll support you with that!).
  • You have experience assessing children and adolescents and working with parents and caregivers.
  • You have a strong foundation in diagnostic assessment, clinical formulation, differential diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • You have experience assessing and treating pediatric ADHD and/or anxiety.
  • You’re comfortable assessing risk, safety, symptom severity, and functional impairment and determining when a patient may need a different level or type of care.
  • You’re able to efficiently synthesize information from multiple sources and identify the most clinically relevant information.
  • You have experience administering and interpreting standardized behavioral health screening or assessment measures.
  • You communicate clinical findings clearly and can help families understand complex behavioral health concepts without overwhelming them.
  • You’re comfortable working within a structured, evidence-based assessment model while exercising independent clinical judgment when needed.
  • You value measurement, clinical quality, feedback, and consistency.
  • You’re tech-savvy, a quick learner, and excited about shaping the future of behavioral health through innovative, virtual care.

Nice to Have

  • Spanish proficiency (with pay differential).
  • Experience in integrated behavioral health, pediatric care, or other multidisciplinary healthcare settings.
  • Experience conducting virtual behavioral health assessments.
  • Licensed in additional states.

Benefits

  • Part-time compensation:
    • Clinical Hourly Rate: $62.00–$96.00 per completed session.
    • Administrative Hourly Rate: $25.00 per hour for non-clinical time (documentation, meetings, admin).
  • Flexible part-time hours: 8–25 hours per week, totaling clinical and administrative time, with a maximum of 8 working hours per day.
  • Flexible scheduling within our operating hours (7 am–8 pm PT, Monday–Saturday).
  • A dedicated care coordination team to support with administrative tasks (e.g., cancellations, rescheduling, documentation requests, billing).
  • A remote-first work culture.
  • A collaborative care model and multidisciplinary team that values peer consultation and expert-led clinical guidance.
  • Expert support and access to clinical leadership and training from ADHD and anxiety specialists and researchers.
  • Professional growth via ongoing development opportunities, including CME/CEU support and regular team case consultations.
  • And more—we’re growing and evolving, so tell us what matters most to you!
