Role Description

The Overnight Triage Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position is a remote position taking calls during evening & night hours for several behavioral health units across the central Virginia region. Components of this position include:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for overnight clinical phone calls across multiple Central Virginia psychiatric facilities
• Evaluate and manage acute psychiatric emergencies telephonically
• Partner seamlessly with on-site nursing supervisors, intake coordinators, and hospital staff across distinct facilities to coordinate care, direct admissions, and manage bed-utilization priorities
• Formulate and execute overnight medical and psychiatric orders

The Overnight Triage Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position at Bloom Health Centers is a full-time position that operates through phone calls through psychiatric hospital settings located around Richmond, VA. The compensation of the position can be salaried or collections.

Qualifications

• Active PMHNP license in good standing
• Active or pending CSR & DEA (depending on state)
• Microsoft Office proficient
• Understanding of DSM-V and diagnosis codes
• Organizational and time management skills
• Writing and oral communication skills
• Willingness to learn
