[Hiring] OPC Simulation Program Manager @Oregon Health & Science University

Role Description

This position provides strategic and operational leadership for the statewide simulation program within the Oregon Perinatal Collaborative. This includes:

• Onsite facilitation of simulations and debriefs on perinatal units and emergency departments in Oregon hospitals and with emergency medical services.
• Provision of clinical subject matter expertise support to multidisciplinary teams across Oregon.
• Collaboration with provider experts and OPC leadership in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the statewide simulation program.

This position requires clinical expertise, simulation experience, and comfort with data used to evaluate the program. Strong interpersonal skills are also necessary for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• 8 years of experience in either high risk OB, neonatal, or rural OB nursing
• Healthcare education and/or quality improvement
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Suite Applications
• OB and/or newborn simulation with high and low fidelity manikins

Requirements

• Leading simulation and debriefs with multidisciplinary teams in all Oregon birthing units (includes travel).
• Program development, including drafting/editing policies and procedures for the program and development of a “simulation playbook” for use by teams across Oregon.
• Training unit nurse educators to facilitate their own simulations and serve as a clinical resource.
• Participating in budget development and maintenance for simulation.
• Maintaining simulation equipment, working with vendors as needed for repair/replacement.
