Role Description

CancerNavigator is an early-stage healthcare company dedicated to supporting cancer patients in their hour of need.

The “Nurse Navigator” Role:

• Support patients at all parts of their journey – newly diagnosed, in active treatment, and entering remission.
• Educate cancer patients (and their families) about their diagnosis, treatment options, and provide helpful information on any related questions and concerns.
• Work closely with researchers to deliver tailored information to patients, guiding them to the centers and doctors that would be a great option for their care.
• Address any barriers to care (e.g. registering and scheduling appointments, coordinating with their health plan or care team, transferring records).
• Provide longitudinal support to the patient throughout their journey, helping them solve any issues related to their cancer diagnosis and care.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of oncology nursing experience.
• Ability to work Eastern hours (8am-5pm EST).
• Mastery of common navigation and care coordination issues (registration, scheduling, clinical department navigation, insurance coordination, solving coverage issues).
• Mastery of basic computer tools (Gmail, Zoom, Word, PowerPoint).
• Preferred: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).

• Passion for serving cancer patients.
