Role Description
Part-Time, Hourly Nutritionist for the District 4 WIC Program (Region A covering Troup, Carroll, & Heard Counties). This position is 100% remote, with up to 29 hours per week (minimum of 24 hours per week). Candidates without prior WIC clinic experience will require up to 6 months of on-site training.
Under general supervision, the role involves:

Planning and conducting service or nutritional programs to assist in the promotion of health and control of disease.

Providing nutritional assessment, education, and counseling to individuals, groups, or the public.

Serving as a resource on nutrition and dietetics to nurses, health educators, or other health care providers in the facility.

Participating in emergency events as deemed essential, including staffing shelters or distribution sites.
Qualifications

Nutritionist 1: Bachelor's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods and nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university AND verification statement of completion of a didactic program accredited by The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Nutritionist 2: Bachelor's degree in a related field AND two years of job-related experience providing nutrition care to groups and individuals; or two years of experience at the lower level Dietitian/Nutritionist 1 (HCP020) or position equivalent.

Nutritionist 3: Bachelor's degree in a related field AND three years of job-related experience providing nutrition care to groups and individuals; OR two years of experience at the lower level Dietitian/Nutritionist 2 (HCP021) or position equivalent. Must be a Registered & Licensed Dietitian.

Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred - $1.00 added to the hourly rate for those who qualify.
Requirements

Minimum of 6 months of related on-site experience with the GA WIC Program as a nutrition professional for remote work eligibility.

Must be a resident of the State of Georgia.
