Role Description
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences will hire a nurse project manager to support statewide quality improvement and workforce development programs. The position will take a leading role in developing and implementing curriculum on maternal and infant health for a variety of health professionals (nurses, community health workers, physicians, EMTs). This position is an ideal opportunity for individuals who have a passion for designing education programs and a strong desire to make a positive impact on maternal and infant health in Arkansas.

Managing workplans and reporting
The nurse program manager will join a dynamic and interdisciplinary team with collaborators across the UAMS College of Public Health, the UAMS Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, the Arkansas Perinatal Quality Collaborative, and the Arkansas Center for Womenβs and Infants Health. The team partners closely with state agencies and external healthcare organizations.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing plus four (4) years of project leadership/management experience required

Must have a current/active RN license
Requirements

Familiarity with continuing education accreditation processes (CME, CNE, EMS CE)

Graphic design capabilities

Excellent attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, or related field

Experience with curricular design

Experience teaching undergraduate students and/or professional learners
Key Responsibilities
-
Coordinates with an interdisciplinary team to define curriculum goals and learning objectives

Identifies and incorporates existing clinical practice recommendations and evidence-based guidelines and interventions

Applies pedagogical best practice to curriculum design, incorporating active learning and supportive assessments

Develops instructional materials and supports, including syllabi, presentations, checklists, guides, and flipbooks
-
Develops work plans for meeting education deliverables, and coordinates the team to accomplish tasks within deadlines

Coordinates review and appropriate approval of all educational materials

Establishes partnerships with other teams and organizations to recruit learners and deliver trainings
-
Develops and implements data collection systems for reporting and quality monitoring

Serves as an expert trainer

Performs other duties as assigned
