Role Description

Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) is searching for a passionate, forward-thinking Part-time Telehealth Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to become a key part of our growing telehealth services team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing mental health support through telehealth services.

You will be responsible for:

• Conducting psych evaluations for new and returning patients.
• Performing medication management in accordance with established protocols.
• Evaluating new patients to assess their mental health needs and develop appropriate care plans.
• Conducting thorough psych assessments on returning patients to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Scheduling follow-ups during appointments by Provider.
• Charting and completing services.
• Writing prescriptions.
• Working with the digital coordinator to coordinate staffing levels.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of psychiatric nursing principles and practices.
• Proficient in conducting psych evaluations and developing comprehensive care plans.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their appropriate administration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective telehealth interactions.
• Ability to adapt to various telehealth platforms and technologies.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
• Ability to maintain records in a timely fashion.
• Ability to coordinate care with the team that may include therapists, nurses, CRS workers, administration, and office staff when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current and valid nursing license in Pennsylvania required.
• Certification in psychiatric nursing is required.
• Additional certifications in telehealth or related fields are a plus.
• Pass a PA Criminal Background Check.
• Obtain Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting clearances.
• Pass Drug Screen.
• 2 Step TB test.
