Role Description
To support our Medical Team in Germany, we are looking for support as:
Medical Science Liaison Manager Oncology - West (f/m/d)
Region West Germany: Aachen – Düsseldorf – Bonn – Köln – Trier – Koblenz - Saarbrücken - Speyer
Focus will be on:

Identify and develop relationships with national and regional medical and scientific KOLs consistent with the strategy and objectives of Medical Affairs and overall Ipsen strategies.

Engage in scientific exchange and education about current and emerging therapies in a compliant fashion with KOLs (to include advisory boards, individual meetings, and congresses).

Develop and maintain scientific, clinical and therapeutic expertise in the areas of Oncology.

Represent the company at specific continuing medical educational events, programs, medical meetings and scientific conventions.

Work with clinical development as requested to identify and engage with appropriate sites for Ipsen trials and identify disease concepts that can be leveraged into product differentiation.

Differentiating Ipsen as the valued scientific partner of choice through innovative initiatives, coordinated strategy, and scientific communication.

Provide appropriate scientific, clinical, and educational support for internal cross functional customers (including other members of the MSL team).

Support medical publications as needed (abstracts, manuscripts, etc.).

Support commercial operations by participating in Speaker and Representative Training.

Lead/participate on special project teams as necessary.

Support cross-functional teams to ensure operations are patient-focused, including rapidly responding to internal and external requests to discuss specific situations and challenges and provide medical affairs support to all stakeholders.
Qualifications

Advanced Scientific, healthcare or medical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) is required.

Medical/paramedical Practice or Research career (hospital and/or hospital related, university research, pharmaceutical industry research or medical affairs).

Previous holding of an MSL or related role with at least 2 years’ experience.

Previous and recent experience in Oncology is an advantage.

Proven experience and successful track record as an MSL or medical department professional in a previous company.

Experience in delivery of scientific presentations and development of relationships with Thought Leaders.

Demonstrated expertise in ability to synthesize and communicate medical information clearly.

Knowledge in data analysis and statistics as well as legal, regulatory, and compliance regulations and guidelines.

Team player with solution-oriented approach and good communication skills.

Ability to travel ~ 60-80% (based on the size of respective geography).
