Role Description
The primary responsibility of the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) supporting Galleri is to engage, educate, and support Galleri ordering providers and cancer diagnostic specialists, oncologists, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and Health Care System (HCS) influencers with the most current clinical and scientific materials supporting appropriate implementation and utilization of the Galleri Multi-Cancer Early Detection (MCED) test. This will be completed through:

Medical-Commercial partnership to identify appropriate external stakeholders

Providing necessary and appropriate medical education with slides, abstracts, and/or publications relevant to the Galleri product and related services

Responding to unsolicited questions

Participating in the development and creation of educational resources

Training external speakers
This position will ensure that all interactions and activities in the territories adhere to corporate and healthcare compliance guidance, including those related to clinical trials, scientific interactions with internal and external groups, and responses to unsolicited requests for medical/scientific information.
This is a remote field-based role covering Washington D.C. and Philadelphia. Travel is estimated to be approximately 60%.
Qualifications

Current title of Sr. MSL (or equivalent) at an oncology or molecular screening/diagnostic company, OR
-
At least three years of experience in an MSL role or equivalent, KOL development experience, and peer leadership experience within an MSL team, such as:
-
National scientific conference lead
-
Key contributor to an internal medical, core, or cross-functional team
-
Significant contributor to MSL tool or resource development such as maintaining CRM, MSL Metric reporting, leading advisory boards, or other goal-driven initiatives
Requirements
-
Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, NP, PA, CGC, or equivalent degree)

3+ years of external-facing industry experience in a diagnostics or pharmaceutical Medical Affairs setting required

Advanced knowledge of the biotechnology, diagnostics, and/or pharmaceutical industry required

Ability to apply advanced knowledge of GRAIL’s product specifications required
-
Extensive travel required up to 3-4 days per week to meet with KOLs, attend physician education talks and conferences, including specialty society scientific meetings (will require some weekend work)
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in oncology, genomics, diagnostics, cfDNA-based fields strongly preferred

Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining a strong teamwork mentality is preferred

Flexible to changes in a dynamic corporate environment is preferred

Multi-dimensional in abilities to work on simultaneous tasks in a high-paced environment is preferred

Strong problem-solving skills, good attention to detail, time management skills is preferred

Excellent communication and presentation skills; exhibits professional maturity, confidence, and competence is preferred

Highly developed written skills, and the ability to produce documents for dissemination both inside and outside the organization for presentations, technical briefs is preferred

Ability to elicit and answer clinical questions in groups ranging from individuals to larger didactic roundtables and podium presentations is preferred

Ability to address high-level experts in the scientific field at company-sponsored events and scientific conferences is preferred

Compensation and Benefits
-
Expected full time annual base pay scale for this position is $165,000 - $206,000. Actual base pay will consider skills, experience and location
-
This role may be eligible for other forms of compensation, including an annual bonus and/or incentives, subject to the terms of the applicable plans and Company discretion
