The Medical Registration Specialist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring an efficient registration process. This role is responsible for:

Verifying patient information and insurance eligibility

Collecting co-pays and deductibles

Maintaining accurate records

Supporting scheduling, billing, and medical records requests
The specialist works collaboratively with patients, physicians, and internal departments to ensure a positive patient experience and smooth office operations. Successful candidates possess:

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent
-
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
-
1+ year of experience working in healthcare (i.e. patient admitting/registration, patient accounting, medical records, physician's office) or completion of a medical billing or medical assistant trade school certificate

2+ years experience working in customer service within a non-healthcare industry

Basic computer skills

Ability to answer phone calls from patients, referring physicians, and staff

Use computer system to verify and update patient demographics
