Role Description

In This Role, You’ll:

• Receive, request, and process medical records from a variety of sources to ensure timely and complete documentation.
• Thoroughly review patient records, extrapolating and summarizing pertinent clinical information for case management and provider review.
• Communicate regularly with healthcare providers and case managers to clarify or obtain missing documentation.
• Accurately send medical orders and track their completion, ensuring all necessary paperwork is received and catalogued.
• Maintain organized electronic medical records (EMRs) by entering, updating, and tracking patient data promptly and precisely.
• Track and follow up on pending documentation to reduce delays in patient care and support care coordination.
• Facilitate clear, timely communication between providers, case managers, and administrative teams regarding patient records.
• Participate in ongoing administrative projects and support team meetings to contribute to continuous process improvement.
• Uphold and practice strict confidentiality protocols at all times, in compliance with HIPAA and company policy.

Qualifications

• Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency in all record-keeping tasks.
• Possess excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, able to manage high volumes of paperwork with competing deadlines.
• Communicate clearly, professionally, and compassionately with a variety of healthcare professionals, including providers and case managers.
• Are comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a remote, cross-functional team.
• Demonstrate proficiency in data entry, EMR systems, and digital communication tools.

Requirements

• Have prior experience in medical records, healthcare administration, or related settings.
• Are skilled at managing and prioritizing multiple electronic and paper-based tasks.
• Understand healthcare privacy laws, especially those pertaining to HIPAA compliance.
