Role Description

As a Medical Director, Clinical Research & Development at ICON, you will provide medical leadership and strategic direction to clinical development programs. We are looking for a board certified professional with experience in monitoring Obesity/GLP-1 studies.

What You Will Do:

• Lead medical affairs delivery across your portfolio, setting standards and developing your team.
• Provide medical and scientific oversight for clinical trials, ensuring that study protocols are scientifically sound and aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with clinical operations, regulatory, and safety teams to drive the successful execution of clinical development programs.
• Develop and review clinical study protocols, investigator brochures, and other key study documents.
• Interpret clinical trial data and provide medical insights to inform decision-making and guide clinical development strategies.
• Build relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and external stakeholders to support clinical development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD) or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive experience in clinical research and development, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, and GCP guidelines.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on interpreting clinical data and driving evidence-based decisions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, global teams.
• Willingness to travel as required (approximately 10%).
