[Hiring] Medical Interview Specialist @Global TekMed Companies (GTM)

Role Description

The Medical Interview Specialist’s primary responsibility will be conducting medical interviews with Veterans to complete Personal Assessment Questionnaires, simplifying complex medical terms, analyzing the questionnaire to determine if the client qualifies, and scheduling Veterans for medical interviews. As a Medical Interview Specialist, you will also be responsible for adhering to all HIPAA regulations and guidelines, data entry, file management, and other administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Previous medical field experience is preferred.
• Proficient medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge.
• Ability to understand and translate complex medical terminology into layman’s terms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and software systems.
• Detail-oriented and proofreading skills.
• Able to work independently at a fast pace and meet deadlines.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
• Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm.
• Customer service experience.
• Excellent phone etiquette.
• This is an onsite position.

Requirements

• High school degree: Similar Experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
