Role Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Interpreter fluent in S'gaw Karen and English for a 100% remote position. The role involves providing accurate and timely interpretation, enabling effective communication between patients and healthcare providers. Additional responsibilities include:

• Performing simultaneous and consecutive interpreting
• Ensuring proper use of medical terminology
• Facilitating clear and culturally appropriate communication in medical settings

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience: Minimum 3 months of professional interpretation experience (this is a must, also make sure you add your Interpretation Experience to your resume to be considered)
• Specialization: Proven expertise in Medical or Legal sectors
• Flexibility: Availability for OPI/VRI or scheduled appointments
• Professionalism: High level of listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills

Technical Requirements and certificates:

• Professional, HIPAA compliant Setup
• Wired USB headset with noise cancellation
• At least 10Mbps upload speed and 20 Mbps download speed

Qualifications

• Fluency in S'gaw Karen and English
• Minimum 3 months of professional interpretation experience
