[Hiring] Medical Intake Coordinator @HealthCare Strategies, Inc.

Role Description

We are seeking a Medical Intake Coordinator to join our growing team! In this full-time, remote role, you’ll play an important part in facilitating requests for medical services for various benefit plans. You’ll handle incoming calls, gather information, and help guide members and providers through the authorization process — all while providing exceptional service and support.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10am – 7pm ET (training hours may differ).

Location: 100% Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls related to medical service requests and determine whether prior authorization is required
• Explain the role and services of HCS to members and providers
• Accurately document all call details in the computer system
• Gather member demographics, provider details, and clinical information to initiate authorizations
• Communicate medical review outcomes completed to medical professionals and members as needed
• Appropriately triage calls and refer to other HCS products or departments when applicable

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center environment preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (required)
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Ability to provide guidance based on policy, procedures, and benefit plan design
• Proficient computer skills; familiarity with Windows-based applications required
