Role Description

Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for a Medical Economics Analyst II to join our Finance team! The Medical Economics Analyst II is responsible for performing analysis on rate trends, developing insights into key financial drivers, and communicating findings to various stakeholders.

• Develop and implement payer analytics and economics strategies around provider rates.
• Analyze behavioral health, physical health, and pharmacy data and rates using a variety of data sources and programs including but not limited to Excel, SQL, Access, etc.
• Utilize industry trends and Medicaid fee schedules and data concepts to drive decision-making.
• Prepare presentations and other collateral materials to support rate initiatives.
• Participate in rates process improvement projects.
• Provide technical training and support to team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and six (6) years of experience in healthcare analytics or medical economics, including experience with Excel or experience developing and writing code; OR
• Associate's degree and four (4) years of experience in healthcare analytics or medical economics, including experience with Excel or experience developing and writing code; OR
• Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in healthcare analytics or medical economics, including experience with Excel or experience developing and writing code; OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must reside within North Carolina.
• Must be able to travel within catchment as required.

Requirements

• Two (2) years or more experience in Managed Care industry (preferred).
