Role Description

I'm currently looking for experienced Medical Biller for my California-based physical therapy practice. While there isn't a confirmed start date just yet, I'd like to connect with qualified candidates early so I'm ready to move quickly when the position opens.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, deductibles, and copays
• Prepare, submit, and follow up on insurance claims
• Review EOBs, post payments, reconcile accounts, and manage outstanding balances
• Research and resolve denied, underpaid, or rejected claims, including submitting appeals
• Prepare patient statements and assist with collections
• Respond to patient billing inquiries professionally via phone and email
• Maintain accurate billing documentation and account records
• Support billing process improvements and assist with future EHR system migration

Qualifications

• Proven experience in medical billing, claims submission, AR follow-up, and denial management
• Strong understanding of insurance billing, EOBs, and payer requirements
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems, clearinghouses, and insurance portals
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
