Role Description

The Remote Medical Benefits Verification Specialist will be responsible for:

• Inbound calls and must be OK with outbound calls.
• Assisting with benefit verification, determining out-of-pocket costs, and deductible amounts.
• Verifying if the patient qualifies for free benefit coverage.
• Troubleshooting and helping patients navigate the website and enrollment processes.
• Owning issues and removing obstacles that prevent patients or providers from accessing requested therapies.
• Taking initiative to identify barriers and working with appropriate parties to eliminate obstructions for customers.
• Being proficient and knowledgeable about all services provided on assigned programs, potentially supporting multiple client products or programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two or more years of recent high-level medical insurance experience.
• Heavy prior experience in the US healthcare and reimbursement industry.
• Proven problem solver with the ability, drive, and initiative to learn necessary processes and procedures.
• Comfortable assisting Medicare patients, including those who may struggle with website navigation.
• Must be patient and empathetic.

Requirements

• Must accept any 8-hour shift between the hours of operations (8am-8pm EST).
• No time off for the first 90 days - no exceptions.
