[Hiring] MD Primary Care @Integrated Medical Services (IMS)

Role Description

The Primary Care MD will provide direct patient care to pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients. This responsibility includes:

• Provision of and attention to the care of major and minor illnesses
• Long range issues of health and disease
• Needs for specialty consultation

Receives administrative support from a Practice Manager. Instill the IMS mission, vision, and values in the work performed.

• Assess patient needs and arrange for specialty referrals, diagnostic and in-patient care
• Document patient information and visit information into IMS' Electronic Health Record in an accurate and timely manner
• Provide patients and family members with counseling and education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and need for follow up as appropriate during each patient visit
• Verify and document that the patient understands diagnosis, treatment, and follow up recommendations
• Provide consultation to nurse clinicians and nurse practitioners
• Render care to patients in accordance with quality and standards established by IMS, community standards of care, applicable law, and according to state and federal grant requirements for non-discrimination
• Provide patient care via telehealth when applicable
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Doctor of medicine degree from an accredited school of medicine
• Current license to practice medicine in the United States
• Board Certification or eligible for board certification
