Role Description
Lead pharmacy services staff in daily operations, serving as a subject matter expert and resource to pharmacists, clinical leadership, and cross-site pharmacy teams.

Coordinate shift activities by assigning, monitoring, and reviewing work.

Oversee pharmacy technician performance and address scheduling and operational issues as needed.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures by monitoring adherence, reporting findings, and supporting departmental problem-solving initiatives.

Contribute to workforce development by providing input on hiring, training, staff development, and performance evaluation.

Support specialty projects as assigned by Pharmacy Management.
Qualifications

Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

One or more of the following required:

Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Requirements

This technician position will support an embedded specialty pharmacist working in a pediatric specialty office.

Fully remote position. Monday - Friday 8 AM - 4:30 PM. No evenings, weekends or holidays.
