[Hiring] Lead Charge Capture Nurse @BHS

Role Description

Baptist Health is looking for a Lead Charge Capture Nurse to join our team! This is a remote work position that requires residency in KY or IN.

• Supports the day-to-day operations related to clinical charge audit and charge capture.
• Supports implementation and maintenance of standardized workflows developed in collaboration with the Director of Charge Capture, Special Projects Manager, and Associate Vice President of Revenue Integrity.
• Performs second level charge audit review as requested by staff, payor, Patient Financial Services, Health Information Management or Director.
• Utilizes payor and coding guidelines in working to develop a response plan to complex cases including new technologies.
• Duties include extensive research, communicating audit findings in written or verbal format, and communicating audit findings with respective departments or payors.
• Utilizes department best practices to audit in the most efficacious manner while promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Stays current on applicable payor and coding guidelines, industry trends, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in nursing including an additional five years’ experience in a revenue cycle related position.
• Valid Kentucky Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• 3 years broad based acute care nursing experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and a basic understanding of coding and payment methodologies including DRG and APC.
• Individuals working with payor audits must have a keen understanding of audit response requirements and timelines.
