Role Description

Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Lead Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Virtual Health Assessment team.

Oscar Medical Group runs a Virtual Health Assessment (VHA) program that outreaches and virtually engages Oscar Health Insurance members in an evaluation and management visit.

• The lead nurse practitioner or physician assistant will oversee care delivered to our patients.
• Responsible for delivering care as part of a multidisciplinary team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Registered Nurses (RNs), and Medical Assistants.
• Manage a panel of patients primarily virtually while coordinating in-person care when required.
• May supervise a team of APPs (NPs and PAs) delivering care to patients.
• Report to the Director of Virtual Health Assessment.

Work Location: This is a remote position, open to candidates who reside in various states. While your daily work will be completed from your home office, occasional travel may be required for team meetings and company events.

Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $135,000- $176,000 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits including generous PTO, sick and floating holidays, 9 paid holidays, 401k with match and an annual bonus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care via telemedicine (video, phone, messaging) while working with a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide supervision to a group of APPs (NPs and PAs) who are delivering care in a virtual environment.
• Act as a clinical escalation point for the care delivery team as needed (APPs, RNs, MAs).
• Support development of clinical guidelines and continuous improvement of care model.
• Participate in collaborative projects with Operations and Product team members as a clinical leader.
• Be accountable for the quality of care of your patients.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Must have full practice licensure in good standing in Florida plus at least three of the following states: Arizona; Arkansas; California; Colorado; District of Columbia; Georgia; Illinois; Massachusetts; Michigan; Nevada; New Hampshire; New Jersey; New York; North Carolina; Ohio; Pennsylvania; Texas, or Virginia.
• DNP, FNP, ENP, or PA from accredited program.
• Board Certification (NCCPA or AANP or ANCC).
• 5+ years of primary/urgent care experience.
• 1+ year experience delivering care in a community-based/in-person setting.

Bonus Points

• Spanish language fluency.
• Prior telehealth experience.
• 1+ years experience in supervising teams, including other clinical staff NP and PA supervision.
• Experience being metric driven in a practice setting as it relates to population health management and/or quality benchmarks, and productivity.
