Role Description
The Internal Medicine – Senior Medical Affairs Advisor / Medical Affairs Manager is responsible for providing medical & scientific support to healthcare professionals and professional bodies through scientific communications and support for clinical research, and for facilitating a medical and scientific bridge between Pfizer and the healthcare community.
We are seeking an Internal Medicine – Senior Medical Affairs Advisor / Medical Affairs Manager to provide specialist medical, scientific and Code compliance advice to the nominated internal team(s) to support the appropriate use of Pfizer medicines and successful implementation of Pfizer’s initiatives and programs.

Provide specialist medical and scientific advice to the nominated internal teams.

Provide medical & scientific support to healthcare professionals and professional bodies.

Liaise with healthcare professionals to manage drug safety issues.

Build enduring peer-to-peer relationships with leading healthcare professionals and specialists.

Understand customer insights around current standard of care.

Data generation and publication
-
Acquire and maintain in-depth scientific knowledge of Pfizer medicines.

Deliver the medical plan in relation to medical projects and support for Pfizer sponsored clinical research.

Generate real world evidence and ensure timely publication of data.

Support for clinical development

Provide medical/scientific input into protocol feasibility assessments.

Identify appropriate investigators/sites for Pfizer-sponsored clinical trials.

Collaborate with clinical research colleagues to drive timely completion of trials.

Support the implementation of approved compassionate use and named patient supply programs.

Data communication and customer insights

Provide high-quality, accurate information to customers in response to requests.

Provide scientific insight and support to commercial colleagues.
-
Develop impactful promotional and non-promotional materials.

Review and certify promotional and non-promotional materials.

Generate customer insights to shape future strategy.

Manage local advisory boards to gain customer insights.
-
Present scientific perspectives during media-briefings if media-trained.

Cross functional medical and scientific support

Support Access & Value in providing medical support for HTA dossiers.

Support Regulatory Affairs in responding to questions from regulatory agencies.
-
Facilitate the maintenance of an accurate database for customer enquiries.

Provide scientific input to other departments on a project-by-project basis.

Provide specialist ABPI Code compliance support to brand/therapy area teams.

Develop and maintain ongoing cross-functional working relationships.
Qualifications

Metabolic medicine / obesity experience required.

Medical Affairs experience.
-
Fluency in Business English.

Medical, Pharmacy or Science degree.
-
For medical applicants, GMC registration with a License to Practice is preferred.

For pharmacy applicants, UK registration is preferred.
-
For scientists, a post graduate science degree (e.g., PhD, MSc) is preferred.
Requirements

Work Location Assignment: Remote (within UK).
