[Hiring] Intake Specialist @Acadia Healthcare

Role Description

The Intake Specialist is responsible for the intake process at the facility. This includes:

• Liaising with remote admissions team.
• Establishing professional rapport with clients to ensure they feel welcomed upon arrival.
• Supporting client arrival process, including initial assessment, searching for prohibited items, and orienting clients to the facility.
• Ensuring required documentation and paperwork is completed and maintained.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Liaise with client/family of potential admissions to address any questions or concerns.
• Coordinate facility tours with clients and families who are potential admissions.
• Interface with remote admissions team and on-site clinical team for necessary approvals and planning for client arrival, including travel arrangements as applicable.
• Establish professional rapport with clients to ensure they feel welcomed upon arrival.
• Support arrival process including coordinating assessment/bed placement process and searching client belongings for prohibited items.
• Orient clients to the facility/milieu.
• Liaise with direct care/nursing/clinical team to ensure clients are set up with a treatment plan/schedule as needed.
• Ensure intake paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and documentation is maintained as required.
• May discuss client’s financial responsibility and take payment as applicable.
• Provide exceptional customer service in line with Acadia Healthcare standards.

Requirements

• High-school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1 – 2 years of experience in a patient care environment in a substance use/behavioral health setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use required computer programs.
