[Hiring] Inpatient Coding Coordinator @Froedtert

Role Description

The IP Coding Coordinator collaborates with management to ensure the highest coder quality through a variety of responsibilities. These include:

• Oversight and participation in the internal and external quality reviews as outlined in the HIM Coding Department Compliance Plan.
• Support by Official Coding Guidelines and the internal inpatient coding guidelines.
• Monitoring coding workflows and work queues for timely and accurate completion of charts.
• Troubleshooting issues that cause delays in chart completion.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Two to four years Inpatient Coding Experience is required.
• Inpatient coding experience in an academic medical facility is preferred.
• Five plus years Inpatient Coding Experience is preferred.
• Associates degree in HIM or equivalent is required.
• Appropriate education or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis of three years of progressively responsible inpatient coding experience in an academic medical facility.
• Certified RHIA/RHIT and/or CCS are required within 6 months of hire.

Requirements

• Successfully uses EPIC, 3M products, and Microsoft Office software.
