Role Description
The Colorado Permanente Medical Group is expanding, and we are seeking board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine or IM-Peds physicians to provide comprehensive medical services to patients covered by Medicaid and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) members, regardless of age or sex, on a continuous basis.
Physicians must be willing to dedicate up to 30% of FTE to take inbound, on-demand calls and provide virtual care services to patients that can be done from home. Must be able to work in a patient care team, involving consultation on patient problems with members of the team (Physicians, R.N.’s, P.A.’s, N.P.’s, L.P.N.’s, M.A.’s, Medical Receptionists, etc.).

Experience working with underserved and high social needs populations

Familiarity with social drivers of health and experience in integrating community resources and support services into patient care plans

Experience in trauma-informed care, culturally responsive care, and health equity initiatives

Proficiency in care team collaboration, including working with behavioral health, social work, and community health workers

Experience with telehealth and digital health tools to expand access and continuity of care for underserved communities

$75k Starting bonus and $10k relocation bonus

Pay range: Family Medicine $323,904, IM or IM-Peds $333,714 * Salary will be based on FTE
Requirements

Examines patients, using medical instruments and equipment
-
Utilizes a computer to access patient records and other clinical information
-
Elicits and records information about the patient’s medical history clearly and adequately, utilizing the computerized medical record, to include accurate coding

Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on the patient’s condition

Analyzes reports and findings of tests and examinations, and diagnoses the patient's condition

Administers or prescribes treatments and medications

Promotes health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and disease prevention methods

Inoculates and vaccinates patients to immunize patients from communicable diseases
-
Performs office and surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency and scope of practice (such as minor office surgery, gynecology, office orthopedics, etc.)

Experience performing comprehensive gynecologic care strongly preferred, including the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of non-obstetric conditions

Refers patients to medical or surgical specialists for consultation services when necessary for the patient’s well-being

Sees patients in a high-flow clinic setting with a daily schedule involving meeting patient visit standards and must be flexible to attend to additional walk-ins and acutely ill or injured patients
