[Hiring] HIM Data Integrity Technician @OSF HealthCare

Role Description

The HIM Data Integrity Technician is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and maintaining data integrity in the Master Patient Index and electronic health record (EHR). This includes:

• Correction of duplicate medical record numbers
• Contact moves
• Issuing MyChart proxy access requests
• Overlaying review
• Charting correction case review
• Interface Error work queues in the EMR
• Care Everywhere work queues

Qualifications

• Education: High School/GED
• Experience: 6 months' experience in Health Information Management (HIM), medical records, or electronic health records
• Other skills/knowledge:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail-oriented
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in Epic handling chart corrections or identity tasks
  • Prior HIPAA knowledge
  • Licensure/Certifications: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred

Requirements

• Expected pay for this position is $18.80 - $22.12/hour
• Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity
• This is an Hourly position
