Role Description
Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Health IT Analyst - Dental to support Kadiak and our government customer. The position is remote.
The Health IT (HIT) Analyst – Dental supports the development, implementation, build, and maintenance of the Indian Health Service (IHS) Modernized Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This position combines program and project management capabilities with Oracle Health Cerner Millennium and Dentrix design and build expertise to ensure the successful configuration and optimization of these solutions to support IHS clinical and/or business domains.
The HIT analyst serves as a subject matter expert on the Dentrix solution—particularly as it integrates with the Cerner Millennium solution to facilitate alignment with best practices, regulatory standards, and clinical safety requirements.

Serve as a subject matter expert in the Dentrix application, including build, design, and configuration of dental workflows, particularly as they integrate with the IHS Cerner Millennium solution.

Provide advisement on best practices for configuration and build, ensuring consistency with vendor recommendations and IHS standards (required).

Collaborate with clinical, business, and dental stakeholders to design and validate dental workflows and configuration to support dental documentation and billing requirements.

Evaluate configuration decisions for impact on system maintenance, data integrity, interoperability, clinical safety, regulatory compliance, and reporting requirements.

Partner effectively with IHS clinical and business end users to support efficient and informed decision-making related to EHR functionality and usability.

Collaborate with the Product Management Team, CMIO, and EHR Vendor Teams (Oracle Health) to promote alignment with defined best practices for system build, workflow, and data management.

Coordinate with System Integrator and vendor partners to support dental product updates and new releases in accordance with the IHS release management strategy.

Participate in governance and change control activities as defined by the IHS Division of Health IT Modernization Office (DHITMO) by providing change request impact assessments and design and build workplans in accordance with DHITMO change control and configuration management standards and processes.

Provide system build options to meet IHS requirements to address change and optimization requests for the IHS dental products.

Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications

Advanced expertise in Dentrix and Oracle Health Cerner Millennium, with emphasis on billing and patient accounting solutions including build, maintenance, and optimization (required).

Experience configuring Dentrix and Cerner Millennium modules including revenue cycle tools preferred.

Proven ability to manage complex build tasks, configuration documentation, and cross-team collaboration in a fast-paced implementation environment.

Strong understanding of dental and patient accounting and billing workflows.

Demonstrated experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

Completion of at least one full life-cycle Oracle Health (Cerner) EHR implementation with a dental solution.

Proficiency in workflow development, design documentation, and validation procedures.

Healthcare, dental and/or business functional experience preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Experience participating in system testing, build validation, and end-user training support.

Preferred experience across dental, other clinical such as emergency and inpatient, and business domains.
Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or higher) in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Public Health, Pharmacy, or a related clinical/business discipline (recommended).

Minimum of 3 years of relevant healthcare experience in an EHR build, configuration, or clinical systems analyst role, including direct Dentrix design/build experience.
