Role Description

Analyzes medical records for compliancy with standards, rules and regulations related to patient information. Analyzes findings captured in databases for trends, changes and areas of concern. Creates reports, maintains databases and tracks statistical information. Performs specialized professional level administrative, organizational, systems, budgetary and related analysis for hospital programs and activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Associate’s Degree preferred (preference for RHIT)
• Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred (preference for RHIA)

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in performing administrative, operational or similar analysis
• Minimum one year of experience performing medical record functions
• Knowledge of principles and practices of public administration
• Familiarity with local, state and Federal regulations and laws related to health care
• Thorough familiarity with basic data sampling and statistical analysis techniques
• Proficient with computer applications related to duties, project management and analytical techniques
• Demonstrated knowledge of ICD-9 (and subsequent versions) and CPT-4
• Ability to provide professional, analytical and programmatic work
• Proficient with standard Microsoft programs (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web browsers
• Ability to maintain accurate records and files
• Effective communication, both written and oral
• Ability to contribute effectively to team or work unit activities
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with personnel contacted in the course of duties

Compensation Range

$56,000.00 - $78,500.00. This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.

NOTE: This range is based on Boston-area data, and is subject to modification based on geographic location.
