Role Description
Medtronic ENT is seeking a Health Economics Manager to partner with sales teams, healthcare providers, and decision-makers to drive acceptance and sustained use of its ENT therapies. The role serves as a reimbursement and health economics expert, evaluating financial and policy factors that affect therapy adoption across hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and physician practices.
This senior-level individual contributor leads complex projects with significant autonomy and serves as a subject-matter expert in reimbursement and healthcare economics. The role involves:

Conducting financial audits and benchmarking analyses.

Delivering education and training to clinical and administrative stakeholders.

Partnering with key accounts to support cost-effective therapy adoption.

Addressing coding, coverage, and payment challenges.
-
Helping facilities establish effective reimbursement processes.
Prefer candidates located in Texas. This position is remote and will require 50-75% travel.
Responsibilities

Reimbursement Tools & Materials:
-
Provide input and assist in developing reimbursement materials and tools for customers and the field sales team.

Identify educational needs of priority accounts and deliver relevant training and education on coding, billing, and reimbursement.

Develop a monthly report of provider activities to support quarterly updates to Senior Leadership.

Reimbursement and Access Support:
-
Develop and implement reimbursement strategies aligned with Sales leadership.

Serve as the primary field-based expert for reimbursement, coding, and coverage.

Educate administrators and healthcare providers on correct use of HCPCS, CPT, ICD-10 codes, modifiers, and documentation requirements.

Support customers in navigating Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer coverage policies.

Provide training on prior authorization, claim submission, appeals, and payment processes.

Identify and resolve access barriers in collaboration with internal reimbursement support teams.

Conduct webinars for new and existing customers and track/report attendance.

Field Education and Relationship Management:

Partner with sales, marketing, and clinical teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Deliver in-person and virtual reimbursement workshops and policy update sessions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Compliance teams.

Provide field insights on reimbursement trends and economic models.

Work with Marketing on strategies addressing the needs of key stakeholders.

Participate in initiatives supporting new product launches and payment advocacy efforts.
Qualifications

Bachelorโs degree required.
-
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with medical device coding, coverage, and payment (reimbursement).

Masterโs Degree in business, healthcare, health policy, or related field (Nice to Have).

Work experience directly related to payer or healthcare provider decision makers (C-suite, administration, director-level).

Experience developing and implementing strategic relationships with key influencers.

Experience creating and giving presentations.

Knowledge and/or experience negotiating payer/provider contracts.

Experience building strong cross-functional partnerships.
Requirements

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. ยง 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
